Marketing Development is important, specially in regard to International Markets, to recognize that needs and wants are not the same thing. Needs are often universal but the means of satifying then are frequently local. Wants reflect the customer’s education, culture and personality. The housekeeper may need the carpets cleaned but may or may not want an Electrolux to do the job.
